Is there a way to override the 30 day delay in deleting photos from the recently deleted folder in cloud? I don't want to wait that long.

When you delete icloud photos they are moved to the "Rescently Deleted" album. If you open your Photos app, simply enter that album, choose "Select" at the top right corner, and then "Delete all" at the lower left corner. All your photos in that album will be permanently deleted.
There is no setting to change the 30 days timer before they are removed automatically. You have to do it manually if you want it done faster. Thankfully it is quick and simple to do it.

Can this be done online via my laptop? I am not seeing a "Delete All" on my monitor?
Open the recently deleted folder:
Then press Delete All
If you say laptop, I'll assume you mean icloud.com photos app. If so, no. The only thing you can do in the "Recently Deleted" album in the icloud.com app is to select photos one by one and choose to recover them.
Some of the services being new, I imagine that adding a deletion option is in the plans, but its not there yet.
Rubbish. The pictures I posted are from the Photos App on a Mac laptop, you can select 'Delete all' (picture 2) picture 1 is the location of the Recently Deleted folder.

I was refering to the icloud.com web interface. Not the interface on the laptop. Go to www.icloud.com, log in and see what there yourself. The oreginal poster hasn't specified if he is using a mac. Simply "online via laptop".
Nope, you referred to a photos app, there are only 2 photos apps, one runs on a Mac, the other runs on iPhones. iPads and some iPods. The one you now say you meant is a webpage.

It was my hope to delete all photos from the "Recently Deleted" album in icloud for windows. Right now, I have numerous that will not be permanently deleted for 30 days.
Seriously guys, thanks for tolerating my ignorance.
OK, I will have to step out, I do not use the Windows version of iCloud so do not know how deletions are dealt with on Windows. Apologies. I will try to attract the attention of one who does.
I want to free up cloud storage without waiting 30 days for photos to be permanently deleted from trash. Can this be expedited?
