Did you forget the passcode? If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

Are you trying to get it unlocked for use on another carrier? How to unlock your iPhone for use with another carrier - Apple Support

Is it activation locked? Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support
