iTunes will not open at all

So I tried to open my iTunes through my Macbook and gives me a window saying: "The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (13014). I tried opening it thru Finder (Finder>Applications>iTunes.app>Show Package Contents>Contents>MacOS>iTunes) and the same window pops up. What could have happened? Was iTunes affected by today's hack? I would like to know if others have had the same problem.

P.S., My App Store on my Macbook won't allow for any updates.
