Not knowing what you mean by not recognize (what happens when you try to log in? Error message)
FaceTime, Game Center, Messages: Troubleshooting sign in issues
Somehow Face Time had been turned off and when I turned it on again and tried to contact my brother via Face Time I was asked for my log -in details - email address and Apple ID - which I typed in. The Apple ID was not accepted yet I access other sites, including this one, with the same ID, I've never had problems before and have always made contact with my brother who lives in Canada. Hope this information is sufficient.
Did you try this?
FaceTime, Game Center, Messages: Troubleshooting sign in issues
Did you get an error message when you tried? If so what did it say?
I tried the Troubleshooting sign in issues as you suggested. The message when I try to sign in to Face Time is <The registered device does not have appropriate credentials>. I don't know where to go from here.
More information- message is 'unknown USB device' but I haven't changed this. I might try moving around some of the USB connections.
Thankk you for your help. I've solved the problem by connecting Ethernet and so Face Time now works.
