How can i update my apple tv 2 (2nd generation) to the most recent software, the latest update for the 2nd gen is v3.0.2

If you're on 3.0.2 that's the 1st gen. It was discontinued years ago and running on a completely different system compared to the 2nd and 3rd gen.

If your Apple TV is large and white and is running 3.0.2, then its a First Generation Apple Tv, and cannot be updated past 3.0.2.
