I backed my iPhone 6 before I sent it it off for repair. whilest it was being fixed I used my old iPhone 5 and now I've got my iPhone 6 back the only back up available appears to be from my iPhone 5 which didn't have any of my new apps, photos or contacts 😟
Is there anyway of restoring it back to how it was before repair?

It sounds like you did a manual backup of your iPhone before service and now want to restore that backup but can't seem to find it.
I'm not sure if you backed up to your computer with iTunes or to iCloud but the following article discusses both methods.
