Wi-fi signal keeps switching from on to looking for networks

The wifi signal on my iMac keeps switching from "on" to "looking for network." Have to try multiple times to get websites to load. Modem is fine, ISP said signal is strong and not changing.

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

It is perfectly normal for the message.....WiFi Looking for Networks.....to flash about every 3 seconds on your Mac. Something would be very wrong if it did not.


You posted on the support site for the Apple wireless routers....the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule pictured below:
