I updated my mac to 10.10.5 and I don't like it and want to change it back to what I had which was 10.8.5, how do I change it back?
You will need to repartition and erase the drive. Then you will need a Mountain Lion installer to install Mountain Lion. Restore your data from a recent backup. \

I tried holding the command and R keys it doesn't do anything.
That isn't what you need to to. You need to boot from an different source like another hard drive, a Snow Leopard installer DVD that came with the computer, a retail Snow Leopard DVD if the original system installed was Snow Leopard 10.6.3 or earlier.
