yosemite faulting mac mail

The latest yosemite update seems to reconfigure my mail accounts, not allowing to send or receive emails.

Have to delete and reinstall account. Obviously an issue within Mac

Called my local cable provider, changed settings to get me through until this is is resolved.

Any advise???
