With a Novation LaunchKey, is there a way to isolate the pads from the keys, To put an ultrabeat on the pads and a ES2 on the keys??

With the Novation Launch Key 25, When you use the pads, they seem to overlap on the middle octave, Is there anyway to Separate the to so i can do keyboard riffs with the keys section and samples and beats with the pads?

The way I do it is to assign the pads to notes either lower or higher than then the range of the keyboard. Then layer the channel strips and split them to the appropriate ranges.
