How do I remove a third party app?
I installed a third party app and cannot remove it from Launchpad. I drag it to the trash, but it won't go in and just returns back to Launchpad.
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Try using Launchpad Manager 1.0.4. I'm afraid there is no other way to remove it.
Thanks for the reply. How do I get Launchpad Manager?
The download link is in my last post. Click on it.
You can't drag icons from the LaunchPad to the Trash. If you've deleted an application, the LaunchPad item should be removed automatically after you log out or restart. Have you done that?
Ah. Thanks! I actually just figured out that if I went into Finder and clicked on Applications, I could right click on the application and pick "move to trash". But that Launchpad manager software might come in handy someday. Thanks!
Hi. I just figured it out. I went into Finder and clicked on Applications. Then I right clicked on the application and selected "Move to Trash". That deleted it and then it was removed from LaunchPad. Thanks for your response.
You did not mention (or I missed it) that you still had the application in your Applications folder. If you had we would have saved you a lot of time. 🙂
