F1 key on Complete Kontrol S49 stopped sending midi in Logic Pro X

I have a Komplete Kontrol S49 that's been working fine for months since I started using, but all of a sudden one F key (F1) isn't registering any presses when playing or recording into Logic Pro X.

I narrowed the problem down to Logic at least, because the key works in Ableton Live. The other thing that's different is that I updated Logic Pro to 10.2.0.

Wondering just what I may have done now. Baffled. Tried removing the Mackie Control surface and reinstalling it, but that had no effect. I can't think of anything else that I've done that may have screwed things up, aside from recently diving into Reaktor and editing the Key Commands to map some controls to knobs on the keyboard.

Can anyone offer any advice into where I should look in Logic Pro X to debug this problem? Thanks for any help.

Simple 'quick and dirty' solution is to delete both of the Logic prefs files listed below and that should fix it...

(You have assigned that note to an action in Logic.. preventing it from playing the note..)

To delete the user preferences, do the following:

You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro X back to its original settings. This will not impact your media files. To reset your Logic Pro X user preference settings to their original state, do the following:

  1. Quit Logic Pro X
  2. In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
  3. Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
  4. Press the Go button.
  5. Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro X User Manual for details on how to do this.
  6. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro X, then you may also wish to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
  7. Restart the computer.

Note: If you cannot find any of the files listed above, you didn’t follow the instruction correctly! 🙂

New prefs will be generated when you relaunch LPX....
