Refund Missing

Hi, recently I mistakenly purchased an app. So I contacted Apple and apparently got a refund. But when they sent me an email confirming that I had received my refund; nothing in my account had changed. By the way, I bought the app with a gift card. Please help, where did my money go?

How long ago did they say that they would refund you (it can take a few days for it to appear), and you've tried logging out and back into your account to see if your balance updates ? If it's been more than a few days then try contacting iTunes Support again, and include your case number.
