Q: Apple TV 2 (Not connecting to ethernet or wifi)

My Apple TV 2 just stopped connecting to my internet out of the blue. I tried reseting it, Once it reset it started trying to connect automatically to ethernet even when no ethernet cable was plugged in. I tired going to Network setting to try and change it to wifi but there was no option for wifi. Instead it just said ethernet or test network, With Some weird IP address below. I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem before and found a fix or if I just need a new Apple TV?

Here is Apple's list of steps to take. Get help with Wi-Fi networks and Apple TV - Apple Support It could be that the wifi radio just died. It sounds like it to me but I'd try all the steps including connecting the ethernet to update Apple TV firmware before I would give up.

I read that list of steps but found nothing helped. I'm unable to connect to the internet from the device. I'm going to try connecting it to my mac and see if I can restore it.

Found that restoring a couple times fixed the problem but it has come back. Not sure what to do any suggestions?
