Safari

I got a message from netflix that safari on my Mac has to be updated. Is there a cost to update safari. I have a mac book pro with osx 10.6.8 There are no software updates for it.

If your computer supports Yosemite, no.

If your computer supports Lion but not Yosemite, yes, or see below.

If your computer doesn't support either Lion or Yosemite, you must switch to a product such as Firefox. This is free.

It isn't possible for you to upgrade Safari without upgrading the OS.

You have to update OS X if you want to update Safari (They are bundled together).

If yo do not want to update OSX then try using Chrome or FireFox browsers
