Custom file icons not showing up in stacks!

Ok, so i've made a few scripts that change aspects of my mac (two specifically to show and hide my desktop files to make it more neat) and i've placed them in a folder. For convenience, i've given them custom icons such as a broom for the one that cleans up my desktop and a file drawer for the one that restores my files to their original place. To make it even more convenient, i've decided to place that folder on my dock as a stack, yet for some reason it doesn't show the custom file icons. Does anyone have a fix for this, because it seems that using the list feature fixes that, but the fan looks so much more appealing.
