MacBook Pro crashes when battery is low

Hi

I have a MacBook Pro, and every time my battery gets near low (somewhere random between 17% -11%), it just crashes. This has only recently started happening, so it may relate to OS X 10.10.5, which was auto-updated on 23 Aug, I don't know.

The Mac just shuts off immediately, and I have to restart from cold.

Anyone seen anything similar? Or can offer some suggestions on how to start the troubleshooting process, without having to take into a Genius Bar (which I am prepared to do if unable to resolve online) but at the moment I'm on a long trip abroad.

check battery heath with coconutbattery

and reset PRAM and SMC

I actually just ran a battery health check with a different app (see below), I guess this is the same as coconut battery, but if there's anything specific to that app, then pls let me know.

I have reset the PRAM and SMC, and will now re-test, thank you!
