I much prefer iPhoto to photos. how do I transfer photos from photos to iPhoto? and how do get the computer to automatically put new photos into iPhoto instead of photo's.

To transfer pictures from Photos to iPhoto you need to export them from Photos (File -> Export) and then import them to iPhoto.
Quit Photos and launch iPhoto. Done.

It will put them into whatever app you tell it to. So, launch iPhoto. You can set it as the default in the iPhoto Preferences
