I'm using csh-scripts to send email like this:
echo "$text" | mailx -s "$subject" $recipient -r $sender
but since some weeks this doesn't work any longer. What I can see is:
mailx: illegal option -- r
And I can see that there is a new mailx installed (July).
How can I set the sender again?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
AFAIR I installed heirloom mailx some years before and it worked all the time but was overwritten by some update about 6 weeks ago.
So I'll try to install http://heirloom.sourceforge.net/mailx/mailx.1.html again using a different folder.
I noticed something similar to this when I upgraded to 10.10.5 from 10.10.4 . mail with the -f option for sender stops working
Could it be as simple as omitting the -r option, and just specifying the $sender variable in its present syntax position?
No,
echo "$text" | mailx -s "$subject" $recipient $sender
will send the email to $recipient and $sender using default sender
mailx: option "-r" has gone?
