i have a late 2011 mac book pro. i can't update iPhoto so that i can upload a photo book i made. any suggestions?

iphoto is 9.2.1
os is 10.7.5
when i went to purchase book, it said we recommend updating, so i did. still didn't work so did update on os. still doesn't work so read page that tells me what to do but my computer won't update anymore

well i went to system preferences and updated there for the os by checking scheduled updates?
Try using the Mac App Store. That's how you do it after 10.6
