I have an Mac OsX 10.6.8
during start I get the following pop up : /system/library/extension/com_cy_driver_USB_device.kext is not properly installed.
What does that mean and how can I get rid of it? Does it harm?

Try running the combo update.
If it is not causing problems and you can sync your devices normally via USB, ignore it. If it does cause problems or reappears, go to hard drive level/System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext and move the file to the trash. Reinstall iTunes 11.4, which should fix the problem. Then restart.
