I frequently am unable to connect to the Internet. Sometimes if I toggle the WI-Fi on-off button. I am able to reconnect.

I frequently am unable to connect to the Internet. Sometimes if I toggle the Wi-Fi on - off button I can reconnect. Often if I shut off Wi-Fi I will be able to reconnect to he internet ( which is Google). The last time I had trouble, an Apple Tech suggested I go to the "Privacy" section. I did something there very quickly and was able to connect to the Internet, but I actually forgot what I did!
