Problems adding invitees

I've been adding my husband as an invitee to my calendar events for past couple years, suddenly he isn't receiving the emails anymore. Haven't changed how I add him, haven't made any settings changes that I'm aware of, anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve it? I am adding my son now to some of them, and he receives the emails, don't know why suddenly my husband is not.
