HP 6500 710n-z printer connection

I have an HP 6500 710n-z printer. I was able to print wireless but now it appears the printer cannot be located most of the time. I also receive messages that "printer is connecting" and it will randomly print old jobs hours later. Both Mac book users are experiencing the same problem. The printer worked fine a few months ago but now has issues. I have searched for answers but all I found was that more people are having the same problem. I have reinstalled the printer, restarted the CPU and printer and had no luck. All updates are complete. Suggestions?
