Timemachine, on Airport Extreme when used as access point

Can my airport extreme when working as an access point still be used to backup multiple MacBooks and 2 users - i.e. back up from any of the networks in the house even when the access point is given another SSID to avoid conflicts?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 8.4.1

Yes, if you have the most recent "tower" version of the AirPort Extreme, which officially supports Time Machine....and the access point has been configured correctly to operate in Bridge Mode.

Other previous versions of the AirPort Extreme do not officially support Time Machine.
