Volume on playlist through Apple TV volumes greatly louder and softer

I have a playlist that I am listing to and watching on Apple TV through a macbook air. The volume of each song and video goes from can't barely hear it to blasting. I've enabled sound check. I've tried going into the lower volume videos and adjusted the volume and I hear no difference. Please help! Thanks!
