trashed preffs etc.

open the default keyboard patch

1.create an aux,

2.map a controller to its volume fader .

You need to go to the concert level and check the box that says "control channel 7/10 controls volume/pan of channel strip objects."

By default now since MainStage 3.1 volume and pan go the MIDI plugins and SIs rather than controlling the channel strip level volume/pan unless this box is checked. If you opened a concert saved in an older version, this box is checked by default.
