Q: how to stop automatic open photos when iphone is connected

Here are the steps on how to disable digital camera notification in Mac OS X 10.6.8. 

Mac OS X 10.6 and later

To disable this notification:

1. Connect the iOS device.
2. Open Image Capture (located in Applications).
3. Select your device from the Devices list.
4. Click the Show Device Settings button () in the lower left corner if Device Settings are not visible.
5. Select "No Application" in the pop-up menu in the Device Settings.
