You could make it into a a compound clip and drag the edit to extend.

Doesn't drag it to make it longer out slow it down?
DDon't think the scroll slows. Can't test until later.

Yes, make it a compound clip. Stretch it out inside the compound clip, and then stretch out the compound clip.
I do not know what a compound clip is. However, I found a setting in the inspector that permits regulating the speed.
That was it. If you switch the speed control to automatic, stretching it out slows it down. Really clunky design.
