"an error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT..."

So I keep getting this error when I try to install iTunes.
I'm running Windows 10.
I've troubleshooted it and googled around and I have so far already tried:
1) Clean booting (disabling possible conflicting services)

2) Disabling Windows Defender
3) Ensuring no registry components or remnants of old Apple products are left over
- I've followed the correct uninstall order for the Apple programs that come with iTunes.
4) Ensuring that I have Windows up to date.

Apart from doing another reset, I really do not know what to do now, can anyone help ?
