icloud crashes in Windows 10

Windows 10 update caused the calendar in Outlook 2013 to be unviewable. So (from research on the web) I disabled iCloud in outlook (didn't solve it) and uninstalled it (solved calendar problem! Google calendars and outlook calendars are back - now just want icloud back). Now I'm trying to get icloud back up and working again - I've reinstalled it, but when I open it Microsoft very helpfully tells me "iCloud has stopped working" and closes the program. Arg! Any ideas? It's also not showing up in the taskbar in Outlook - probably because it's not working...
