Hw do I set calculator to put in 2 decimal points for adding cash?

I know I can hit the decimal point but on all my other (albeit Luddite) calculators there is a setting to automatically put in 2 decimal places for calculating cash.

Can this be done on the Yosemite Basic Calculator, to enter in 2 decimal places without having to hit the decimal point?

thanks,

Sorry, but that's not it. Setting it to 2 decimal places doesn't automatically put in a decimal point.

Perhaps I'm not being clear. On old style manual, printing calculators, you can set it to put in a decimal point to show cents, e.g. if you punch in 1234 and hit the + sign it will show 12.34. So when adding a column of numbers representing cash you never have to waste time entering decimal points, it is done for you.

To enter $5345.00 + $173.53 = $5518.53 you hit 534500 + 17353 = and the result will show 5518.53. It automatically adds in the decimal point for cents. You can usually adjust this for 0-5 decimal places.
