Bluetooth Not available: recurring problem

I have a new MacBook Pro (~1 month old) 15" retina display.

I have repeatedly gotten the "Bluetooth not available" problem. I've seen other posts about 1. deleting the bluetooth .plist file and 2. Resetting the SMC hardware. I've only done #1 because it works! Once I do that, bluetooth is up and running again.

The problem is, a few days/week later, the problem is back. And I have to delete the file once again. I've now deleted that file about 5 times and only owned the laptop for about a month.

Perhaps this is related: I carry the laptop back and forth between home and work. I have a bluetooth keyboard and trackpad in both places, so perhaps it is because of the switching back and forth? I've not been able to figure out a pattern, though.
