SuperDrive Error

Hi Folks

It seems the following console errors are related to my Mac Pro's SuperDrive. The errors were logged after I inserted a CD-ROM.

3/09/2015 10:46:24.822 am mds[90]: (Normal) Volume: volume:0x7fe4b706e000 ********** Bootstrapped Creating a default store:1 SpotLoc:(null) SpotVerLoc:(null) occlude:0 /Volumes/BusinessGovAu

}

DisabledRecycleCount = 4;

}

FYI - I keep receiving errors like the above last four errors giving increased FAILURECOUNT numbers and varied VSD numbers.

Anything wrong with the SuperDrive or the CD-ROM?

Thanks for your help and time.

Do you have an install DVD you can boot from?

If you have same problem booting to install DVD that would point to the drive as the source

Thanks for the comment. May I know if your point was from the "Bootstrapped" wording in the first error message?

I don't have a bootable DVD disc for Mac at the moment. However I can burn a Maverick or Yosemite disc for testing it. Will update here once done

You are right. Just tried booting a Windows startup disc in a VM using the SuperDrive, the drive worked fine. So it basically also means the drive's hardware is working fine as well?

I do not believe Bootable is the issue.

I think Commercial, Pressed, Silkscreened, "Known-Good" (not subject to the vague possible problems of "burned" discs) is what was being sought.
