How do i get photos off from a disabled ipod?

My son's screen broke on his ipod touch. After putting in his password several times, and it not reading properly, his ipod is now disabled. There is no backup and it isn't connected to itunes. Is there ANY way he can restore his photos and/or videos?

If there is no backup, and the photos are not already in iCloud's photo library or PhotoStream, there is no way to access them and get them off the disabled iPod.
