Where Can I Buy Apple Memory-Originals For Mm L2012?

Mac mini (Mm) Late 2012 running 10.10.5

In another thread I posted my kernal panic attacks. Long story short, recently, I got a new HDD and SSD put into my Mm. I had Apple look for the problem, their hardware tests just tell us that I don't have the Apple Original. I also took it to a Mac Repair, where those great folks installed the SSD, and only came up with a solution to : Preferences > Accessibility > Display > "Check" (√) Reduce transparency.

Things worked for a while, a day or two. but today 3 crashes. One poster suggested that I change back to the original Apple Memory, which I don't have, I think I bought the 8GB and ordered the 16GB from the US. Called Japan Apple Online store today, they do not have that memory for my model. 😟

So I'm stuck. Does anyone know where I can actually get Original Apple Memory for my model Mm Late 2012?

Appreciate any suggestions... m(_ _)m

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), 2.3 GHz/i7/16GB RAM

Talk to OWC (Macsales) who usually have a one to one telephone service. EDIT. This is the USA site.

Highly regarded in these columns and cheaper than the Apple supplies. They have access to all the Apple memory.

OWC http://www.macsales.com/ offers worldwide shipping.

Other sites that are good including http://www.crucial.com/http://www.datamem.com/ and http://www.lifetimememory.com/

Do not buy RAM by the timing. Make sure it indicates it is lifetime warranty, and is compatible with your specific computer vintage (Mac Mini Late 2012 as you had indicated) from the RAM manufacturer's website. Do not get ValueRAM.

@ seventy one & @ a brody,

Thank you folks. Yes, I know about Crucial and OWC, I was just wondering if there was in fact another dealer. It's too risky to try eBay. So I went with Crucial. The reviews of both C & OWC were full of positive and there were few negatives for both. I like the way Crucial lets you download a scanner. Got the right 16GB right off the bat. Plus the price + shipping to Japan ($15) was lower than OWC before shipping. It's on its way as I write.

Again, appreciate your comments. Thank ... m(_ _)m

Even OWC memory is not immune to failure. I had a raft of problems, many the same as the OP's after upgrading to an OWC SSD and 16GB RAM last December. They replaced the SSD and I cruised on for the next six months with random panic kernel attacks and spontaneous restarts. Exhaustive diagnostics did not find anything wrong.

I was still able to use Final Cut Pro 10.1.4 and edit videos despite the bothersome interruptions. Then last month things got really bad. Constant crashing.

OWC techs asked me to test the RAM with the Rember diagnostic tool. Rember detected a bad 8GB module. OWC sent a new matched pair of 8GB modules.

The computer has been problem free for three weeks now under heavy usage. So, my conclusion is that one of the RAM modules was most likely defective the whole time and got progressively worse.

I would recommend the free tool Rember to check your RAM first before you jump into replacing other components.. http://www.kelleycomputing.net/rember
