ITunes 12 is unresponsive when I eject my device

My latest update on iTunes becomes unresponsive or freezes up when I attempt to eject my iPod. I have to reboot the entire computer to use it again. This did not happen until I updated iTunes. My iPod says it has been successfully ejected, but iTunes freezes up.
