I have iOS 8 which means that the audiobooks are now in the ibooks app. But before the update I was able to play audiobooks on repeat but now that the audiobooks are now in the ibooks app I can't seem to do that. If anyone has a solution that would be great.

I have the same issue. It's infuriating when they break or remove existing functionality! Repeat worked perfectly fine in the music app. 😠
edit: and it's not fixed in iOS 9 either.
Here's how you do it. It's a bit involved but it works!
The synopsis is in iTunes you right click on the audiobook files and change their category from audiobook to music then sync them with your phone.
