I just purchased imovie, and while it was downloading, my internet went off and it paused automatically, now that I try to resume the download is just not doing anything, I click and click and no action is taken, I went to the app store and tried to redownload it again, but it won't redownload. what should I do??

Sorry about your download getting interrupted. It sounds like you are on the right track by trying to resume the download and then redownloading it. There may be something that you are missing in one or the other of these steps. Here are a couple of articles that may help you out to make sure you are not missing anything.
First to resume an interrupted download:
