1 word for a whole sentence

Please help before i go insane

when i type a word, instead of that word it puts a whole sentence in. It has obviously been set up to do that, by one of my friends who thought it would be funny. How do i cancel as it also does it on phone and all my apple gadgets. whats it called?

Thanks

On your iOS device go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary.

It is called text replacement, and once established on your Mac, is also shared on your phone. In Pages, look in your Edit menu under Substitutions. If Text Replacement is checked, uncheck it, and the sentence for word behavior will stop in Pages.

The real fix is in System Preferences ▸ Keyboard Text. The sentence will be in the With column. Select that Replace/With line, and click the minus button to remove it. Quit System Preferences.
