Just going through my Applications folder I found that the old version of IMovie is still there, will this effect the performance of the newer version in anyway?
Should I uninstall the older version?

You might as well keep 9.0.9 as it is not doing any harm.Many who are familiar with 9.0.9 prefer it to 10.0.9
