My Screen has a weird pixelated thing going on at start up.

My Macbook pro (2008) has this weird pixelated thing going on while i try to start it up. I've tried it a few times to see if it was a "random" error while booting and it does it everytime. However, I was able to boot it in safe mode. I ran Disk Utility to repair disk if any errors. Rebooted, not in safe mode and the pixelated screen appeared. I did notice one thing in safe mode, the screen appeared to flicker every 10 seconds or so...

Any suggestions, help, advice, tips would be much appreciated.
