I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your update. If you continue to have issues opening the 10.10.5 Combo Update disk image, you may want to try deleting and redownloading it from the following page:
OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 Combo Update
Also, if you are already running 10.10.4, you could try the standard update listed here:
You may also want to try doing the update via the Mac App Store, unless there is a specific need to do it from the disk image:
