After I go on Facebook for a few minutes, my computer freezes on all Safari pages opened. I know it is not related to the internet since this happens at various settings.

you need clear Safari caches
go to Safari Preferences, in Advanced menu active “Show Develop menu in menu bar”
in Develop menu select Empty caches
