You could not have tried everything. Because the last step is to contact Apple Care and I know you couldn't have gotten through to them already. If the restart and reset doesn't help, then you need to contact Apple as I indicated and the support document indicates. Make a Genius Bar Appointment.

Which means it didn't work, because the device is still malfunctioning. Contact Apple Care!
