I Don't know if you are explaining correctly what it is that you want to do. If you want to transfer the app itself into iTunes, read this.

You can not actually see the data files in the backup. You just have to trust that the files are there. However, if the app supports file sharing. You can transfer the actual files to a computer using iTunes.

What is the app called? I will take a look to see, but you should be able to see that in app description in the App Store.

YEs that is the app. I see where the app sharing is located and the app is on the left so I looked on the right and there is an item listed with a date but there is nothing in it.

I Then went to my back up my Mac and I find where my back up is listed but it is locked and I do not know how to unlock it therefore can not retrieve the contemts.

i Had 147 recipes originally in this app and lost them all appearently when it updated to the next version.

i Am now reloading the app but want to make sure they are backed up.
