When writing notes how do I stop "underline" and "Color"?

I have been typing some notes using "underline" and "color" How can I stop "Underline" ans color?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Enter again ⌘U to toggle "underline" off. Then enter ⇧⌘C to open the color panel and select a different color.
