I am trying to call people from my mac but they do not hear me.What is the problem with my inbuilt audio input and what should i do?

If you go to System Preferences>Sounds>Input is the internal mic shown and selected?
If so try speaking and see if the lights change with volume.
In the app you are using make sure the mic is selected. In FaceTime it is in FaceTime>Video
