how to create a copy of maverick

Hello I just got a new mx200,the sata transfer cable I bought is defective so Im stuck.

how can I save a copy of the OS system only to install. nothing needs to be saved I would like a completely new os.

Do you have a drive with a functioning OSX? Without that, there is nothing you can do.


If you have one, since the internal cable is faulty, you will have to connect it to the MBP externally (USB or Firewire) via an enclosure or a SATA connector cable. Then you can download Mavericks IF you have it in your App Store account. Otherwise Yosemite is a viable option.
