migration assistant progress frozen?

I just got a Macbook and want to migrate all of my stuff from my Macbook Pro (It has about 150 GB of data and apps) to the macbook. I do not have an usb-c ethernet adapter so I am using wireless. Everything set up will using migration assistant. But it told me there would be about 7hr 18min to go about 3 hrs ago and it says the same now. The progress bar has not moved further than about 1/8 ".

So is it progressing just does not show it? Or is it really frozen? Any possible special set-up that I might have missed? I am not sure how long to let this continue.

MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

Thanks, I did do that but as I was waiting for help I found out the problem. Somehow I had put the same account name on the macbook as I had on the macbook pro( source for the migration). It may have also been due to permissions, so I repaired those on the MBP. But it all worked.
